| FULL LENGTH film about the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) Royal Mail Train between London Euston and Glasgow. This film was produced by the GPO Film Unit in 1936, the English poet W. H. Auden wrote a poem specially to accompany the film. The music was written by Benjamin Britten. The poem's rhythm imitates that of the train's wheels.... |

| This advert was first shown on Christmas Day 1988 and features the full version of W.H. Auden's famous poem 'Night Mail' which was origionally written for the London Midland Scottish Railways (LMS) 25 minute documentary in 1936. The commercial shows the daily operations of BR including Parcels, Railfreight, Intercity, and other operations. |
